Dancer meet-ups to enjoy live music around Hagerstown
First Fridays in Frederick MD at Sky Stage - offered by donation
Sunday afternoon weekly Lessons via city of Frederick Parks & Rec
Monthly workshops for returning students at New Spires Arts in Frederick MD - offered at a discount for Hagerstown regulars - contact Amanda to redeem
We’re social dancing on Monday nights at Hub City Vinyl in downtown Hagerstown, MD.
7-8pm beginner lesson in authentic partner dance techniques from vintage swing and blues dance styles. drop-ins welcome; we will cover different material each time
8-9pm open social dancing with a DJ selecting jazz, blues, and soul music that will be perfect for practicing your new moves
Coordinate with other local dancers to come back to the venue for live music - your instructors will explain etiquette for dancing at different types of shows
Other details:
$10 cover - pay in advance right here, or at the door via cash/credit/Venmo
Support the venue by ordering from the bar, coming back for a performance, or browsing the record shop
No dress code, “clean inside only” / dance shoes recommended
No partner required, rotating partners encouraged
