More than Modern - Adult Dance Series
Express yourself through creative movement in a welcoming environment in downtown Frederick, Maryland.
Amanda has been embodying her emotions through Modern Dance (with lots of Graham and post-Modern inspiration) since she was a child, teaching on and off since 1997. Join her for a dance class custom-built for adults; we will focus on understanding our bodies, increasing our capacity for self-expression, and learning how to make movement interesting without relying on tricks, gimmicks, filters, or trends. Class is (re)introductory level, perfect for beginners and retired dancers who feel like beginners.
Classes change every month, but will always include:
A full body warm-up with light physical conditioning
Technical exercise(s) to improve fundamental skills.
Choreographed phrase(s) - max 32 counts
Guided Improvisation and/or Scored Dance Jam Time

$20/dancer for each 90-minute class.

Staying Healthy
Proof of vaccination is not currently required.
Dancers are welcome to wear masks, but they are not currently required.
